Trash of the Count's Family Wiki

Eric Wheelsman is the son of Count Wheelsman and his successor.[1] He and the original Cale Henituse were close and he treated Cale like a younger brother. He was very worried about Cale being the representative for the Henituse family during the birthday celebration in the capital, as he and the other Northeastern nobles were afraid he would cause trouble. After the war he received the title of Chief Advisor of the Right for the Naval Base.[2]

Personality[]

In the noble's information report provided to Cale by his father, Deruth Henituse, Eric is described as a good person who is known for being a bit uptight.[1] He is also the type to worry about everything, but only because he likes to think about everything before they actually happen.[1]

Eric is very clever and a quick-thinker. He is the type of person who gives respect where respect is due and does not judge others based on rumors but on how they treat him.

History[]

Count Wheelsman’s territory was located in the beginning parts of the Northeast, and he was neither very strong nor very wealthy. That was why he was able to build a close relationship with Count Henituse in the Northeast, where they did not have any dukes or marquis. Count Henituse liked this friendship because, for someone like him, whose territory was far in the corner of the Northeast, knowing someone who was the close to the capital was beneficial.[1]

When Eric finds out that Cale will be attending the event hosted by the crown in the capital, Eric shows a lot of worry about Cale—mostly worry as in worry that Cale will stir up a mess by getting into a fight with a noble or smash things while drunk. He is worried that Cale will mess up the Ubarr shoreline tourism deal that he along with Amiru Ubarr and Gilbert Chetter are planning to propose to the Crown Prince, Alberu Crossman, at the event.

Eric also insists along with Amiru and Gilbert's support in an in-person meeting with Cale before the event, that all Cale has to do is show up, sit there, and relax. He speaks very carefully, treating Cale like a ticking time bomb of sorts as he tries his best to convince Cale to behave. He states that he will handle everything, and that if any nobles pick on Cale which he suspects they will, he will handle that too. He pleads Cale not to drink until at least their customary initial greeting with the crown prince is over.[1]

Eric writes numerous letters to Cale before the event, presumptuously trying to placate Cale's impulsivity and plead him to behave at the event. As when he finally meets post-transmigration Cale and sees that he's behaving, he wonders with satisfaction if his letters work. He does not know that post-transmigration Cale never read a single one of those letters, and instead just stuffed them all into a corner in his room.

Relationships[]

Cale Henituse[]

According to Deputy Butler Hans, Cale had a very close relationship to Eric prior to Kim Rok Soo's transmigration into Cale's body. Cale refers to Eric as Hyung-nim, and Eric sees himself as Cale's hyung.

While Eric has fond memories of Cale when he was young, thinking back and remembering him as a 'good boy', he became very apprehensive about Cale since he's grown up to be spoiled, impulsive, and 'trashy'.

Despite his apprehension at Cale's trashy behavior, Eric shows signs of continued affection for Cale, as when he sees Cale behaving himself at the event, he is proud.
